Two Lancaster area men who spoke on behalf of the Amish community in the aftermath of the tragedy and fielded hundreds of media queries speak and lead a question and answer period. Donald B. Kraybill, distinguished professor of sociology at Elizabethtown College, and Herman Bontrager, president/CEO of Goodville Mutual Casualty Company, reflect on Amish beliefs that prompted them to forgive, show compassion and respond graciously, despite their deep pain.

Claire is a 1959 EMU graduate and recipient of EMU’s Alumni Association 2007 Distinguished Service award for his ministry among hundreds of remote Aboriginal communities stretching from the Pacific to the Atlantic to the Arctic Oceans.
