Brenda is the pastor of Frazer Mennonite Church in Frazer, PA since September 2007. From 2001-2007, she taught practical theology at Eastern Mennonite Seminary.

Forgiveness in the Face of Tragedy: The Amish of Nickel Mines

Two Lancaster area men who spoke on behalf of the Amish community in the aftermath of the tragedy and fielded hundreds of media queries speak and lead a question and answer period. Donald B. Kraybill, distinguished professor of sociology at Elizabethtown College, and Herman Bontrager, president/CEO of Goodville Mutual Casualty Company, reflect on Amish beliefs that prompted them to forgive, show compassion and respond graciously, despite their deep pain.

Singer, songwriter Carrie Newcomer, shares reflections and songs on “Spiritual Activism: Living Our Faith & Values in Dramatic Times.” Carrie Newcomer, a native of Elkhart, Indian, is an American singer and songwriter. During the 1980s she was a member of the folk group Stone Soup. Since the early1990s she has released a number of solo albums.
