Celebrate Your Stories: International Student Organization

Celebrate the Vision:25 years of Cross-Culturals

In this 90th year of EMU History, the University also celebrates 25 years of the Cross-cultural program.   As a part of International Education Week, this chapel is hosted by Vernon Janzi, reflecting on the past 25 years of the program.  Ken J. Dr. David Orr Convocation Address

Friday, November 9th, 2007

Dr. David Orr addresses the EMU community and the Board of Trustees on the topic of green building on college campuses. Orr chairs the Environmental Studies Program at Oberlin College, and spearheaded the effort to design the institution’s Adam Joseph Lewis Center for Environmental Studies.

Dialogue on Race

Wednesday, November 7th, 2007

Students, Faculty, and Staff reflect on their experiences walking through the ‘Tunnel of Oppression’ organized by the Multicultural Services office the previous evening. The chapel closes with a candlelighting ritual, inviting the community to offer prayers for themselves or on behalf of others who face various levels of discrimination.
