Eastern Mennonite Seminary’s 2023 School for Leadership Training is themed “Creating Communities of Belonging: Appreciating EveryBODY.” Questions of theology, nurturing of gifts, and other core topics related to accessibility and inclusion will bring pastoral and lay leaders to the Jan. 9-11 event.
Eastern Mennonite Seminary (EMS) and the African American Mennonite Association (AAMA) have teamed up to provide scholarships for Black ministry leaders interested in completing EMS’ new graduate certificate in faith-based peacebuilding, beginning this fall. AAMA, a recognized racial ethnic group of Mennonite Church USA, is providing support through a matching grant.
Eastern Mennonite University has been awarded a grant of $998,606 from Lilly Endowment Inc. to support Eastern Mennonite Seminary’s development of a new interdisciplinary pastoral leadership institute that will offer workshops, courses and trainings on conflict transformation. The institute opens this fall.
Eastern Mennonite Seminary announces a new 18-credit Graduate Certificate in Faith-Based Peacebuilding. A collaboration with Eastern Mennonite University’s world-renowned Center for Justice and Peacebuilding (CJP), the program is designed to upskill faith community leaders to more effectively respond to social conflicts and resource faith-informed social engagement in the complex justice issues of their communities.
