Millard Showalter in the news:
Dr. Showalter had a special ability to make math understandable and interesting. His enthusiasm and enjoyment of math rubbed off on his students, who at one point made T-shirts that said “Millard’s Magnificent Mathematicians.” He chaired the mathematical sciences department for many of his years at EMU.
In retirement, Showalter pursued his life-long interest in dramatic monologues, including storytelling and scripture memorization. He was active in his church, Lindale Mennonite, until he married Mary Kratz and transferred to Park View Church.
