About the Institute
The Institute for Experiential Therapies offers training that brings together current neuroscience and practices of embodied presence for healing.
We believe that the key to lasting life change is the capacity to engage the whole person – body, mind and spirit – in both verbal and non-verbal modalities, trusting and supporting the whole body’s natural capacity to implicitly sense and actualize growth and healing potentials.
Our trainings offer a variety of avenues for exploration, training and certification.
Our Expert Speaker Series invites leading professionals to share their research and clinical expertise in instructional trainings.
Our Post-Master’s Classroom offers graduate credit courses for professionals seeking instruction wedded with experiential learning. These courses facilitate learning using a variety of modalities, always blending content with embodied experience.
The Center for Expressive Healing Arts provides professional and paraprofessional training in the healing and expressive arts. These 3-hour, 6-hour and weekend experiences facilitate personal growth that can be applied to healing work in a variety of contexts. The Center is open to the public.
Emotion Focused Couples Therapy training provides introductory and certification training based on the evidence based, empirically validated treatment approach for working with couple distress.
Committed to creating a community of practitioners open to the power of the healing and expressive arts, the Institute for Experiential Therapies brings together the neuroscience of intersubjectivity with the wisdom of diverse healing practices as we journey together toward wholeness.
