Auditions are for children and youth in grades 2-11 (school year 2015-2016) who love to sing, want to learn how to sight read and enjoy performing. The choir is a wonderful community building activity!

Other Information

Acceptance into the Shenandoah Valley Children’s Choir is based on interest, commitment, enthusiasm and musical ability. Children who love to sing, can match pitch and have positive, cooperative attitudes are invited to audition.

What to Expect

Following the audition, children often ask, “is that all?” The audition is not intimidating, difficult, or worrisome! A short, eight-minute meeting and listening time is all that is required. No prepared solo is needed. Come ready to sing some familiar songs such as “Happy Birthday”, “Row Your Boat”, and an echo game.
