Penny Driediger

Penny holds a B.A. in Social Work from Eastern Mennonite University and an M. Div. from Eastern Mennonite Seminary with a concentration in Pastoral Care. She is ordained for ministry with Virginia Mennonite Conference and received her professional certification as a Certified Educator through the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education in 2016. P enny currently divides her time between Eastern Mennonite Seminary and Sentara RMH where she is a Staff Chaplain. At EMS Penny is the Director of Clinical Pastoral Education and Mentored Ministry.

Penny’s 20 years of experience in urban ministry in Hamilton, Ontario continues to shape her passion and love for the Church and its ministry. Over the past ten years Penny has engaged the unique Clinical Pastoral Educations action/reflection/action process of learning in her personal and professional life, developing theories of education, theology and human development that inform her practice as an Educator and a Chaplain.  This has uniquely equipped her in her work with students who are in the process of developing and honing ministry practices, pastoral identity and reflection.  Penny is energized by her own continuing education and is commited to this unique learning opportunity that is offered through Eastern Mennonite Seminary's CPE program, an accredited Center through the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education.
