Where will you be learning?

Learning in the fieldEMU offers fully equipped labs and classrooms, but also an environmental study area, arboretum, meadow and greenhouse on campus. Nearby, students learn on the rivers, mountains, trails, and caves of George Washington National Forest, Shenandoah National Park, and Monongahela National Forest – all within 30 minutes of campus!

We take advantage of the natural beauty and recreation available locally in the Shenandoah Valley, national forests, caves, rock climbing areas, rivers and streams.

For rainy days or specific activites and training, Yoder Arena offers an indoor climbing wall as well as a fitness center. Also, five local camps provide EMU with field trip opportunities and frequent interactions with Christian camping professionals.

See sports, fitness and recreation at EMU for information on recreation on and off campus.
