Adopt a grandparent or a competition between dorms to do donation boxes.<\/li>\n<li>Ministry of Money Management: Talk to Jim Lehman about investing some of the role over.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>New Business\n<ul>\n<li>Funding Request: Psych Club\n<ul>\n<li>Snacks for a fear presentation on October 28th. Requesting $16.43.<\/li>\n<li>Ken: Wondering if the activities are open to all students or only to psychology club members.<\/li>\n<li>Brooke: Anyone is welcome to an event and is advertised to all.<\/li>\n<li>Kat motions to give Psychology Club $16.43. Mario seconds.\n<ul>\n<li>In Favor: 12<\/li>\n<li>Abstaining: 1<\/li>\n<li>Opposed: 0<\/li>\n<li>Motion Passed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Funding Request: Peace Fellowship\n<ul>\n<li>Anna is here representing Peace Fellowship. Asking for $1,455 to send students to MCC UN conference in NYC. Covering registration cost, transportation, and food cost for students. Will host a Common Grounds event or Peace Fellowship meeting to share about the experience.<\/li>\n<li>Bethany: It&#8217;s a lot of money but it&#8217;s also a once in a lifetime opportunity experience. It also is important because this year is on Palestine conflict, which relates to the students who go on cross-cultural.<\/li>\n<li>Ken: last year they sent 12 students and asked for the same about of money.<\/li>\n<li>Kat: It&#8217;s a lot of money to send 6 students and pay fully for the trip.<\/li>\n<li>Tyler: I think the students going should also put some of their own money into it. Total amount of money for this semester is $7,600. We&#8217;ve only spent around $300 so far. If we were on track for spending the whole semester we would have spent $3,000 at this point.<\/li>\n<li>Elizabeth: 2 more students could go if we didn&#8217;t pay for cost of food.<\/li>\n<li>Bethany: Last year she believes there were 6 undergraduate students and 6 CJP students.<\/li>\n<li>Robert moves to amend the motion to have them reevaluate their cost for this year.<\/li>\n<li>Bethany: they paid $60 per person last year. Would like students to pay for food.<\/li>\n<li>Hanna: Doesn&#8217;t feel comfortable to ask students to pay a portion of this.<\/li>\n<li>Ken: Ask yourself &#8220;What is a reasonable amount to ask for the average student to put in while still being able to go?&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Bethany moves to have them reevaluate their food cost, ask students to pay a $50 fee and provide lodging cost. Mario seconds.\n<ul>\n<li>In Favor: 12<\/li>\n<li>Abstaining: 2<\/li>\n<li>Opposed: 0<\/li>\n<li>Motion passed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Open Floor\n<ul>\n<li>Taylor: I meet with Intellectual Life Committee this week. We discussed the proposal for EMU ACE (Academic &amp; Creative Excellence) Festival. It would be a collaboration of all the department events at the end of the year. It will begin in spring 2017.<\/li>\n<li>Brenda and Sara went to the cross-cultural committee. The main point was Jim Lehman speaking on the creative care counsel. Wants cross culturals to account and consider the emission of each trip.<\/li>\n<li>The lead lunch dates are incorrect on the note card. There is a lead lunch tomorrow.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Adjournment\n<ul>\n<li>Robert motions to adjourn the meeting. Mario seconds.
