{"id":6092,"date":"2022-03-22T12:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-03-22T16:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/emu.edu\/now\/podcast\/?p=6092"},"modified":"2022-05-18T13:48:24","modified_gmt":"2022-05-18T17:48:24","slug":"chapel-gathering-seminary-50","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/emu.edu\/now\/podcast\/2022\/03\/22\/chapel-gathering-seminary-50\/","title":{"rendered":"Chapel Gathering: Seminary"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Interfaith Chapel Service\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; Rabbi Randi Nagel of Temple House of Israel in Staunton, Virginia will speak on &#8220;Torah and the Essence of Jewish Prayer.&#8221; This inaugural Interfaith Chapel Service is co-sponsored by Eastern Mennonite Seminary and the Center for Interfaith Engagement.\u00a0<br><br><strong>Rabbi Randi Chudakoff Nagel<\/strong>\u00a0was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio.\u00a0 Her childhood rabbi recognized her rabbinic potential from a very young age, announcing at her bat mitzvah that, \u201cA future rabbi was standing before them.\u201d\u00a0 She attended Boston University and Hebrew College before entering the rabbinic program at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. She has served congregations in West Virginia, Ohio, and Baltimore as well as the Jewish Community Center of Greater Baltimore and has spent many years in chaplaincy at both hospitals and hospice programs.
