In this podcast,<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.emu.edu\/business\/\">Business and Economics<\/a><\/strong> faculty <a href=\"http:\/\/www.emu.edu\/personnel\/people\/show\/emeryl\">Leah Kratz<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.emu.edu\/personnel\/people\/show\/aes693\">Tony Smith<\/a> share stories and reflections on their own personal sense of vocation and how their calling has shaped and continues to shape their teaching and other endeavors. \u00a0Smith, who also serves as founder\/CEO of <a href=\"http:\/\/securefutures.us\">Secure Futures, LLC<\/a>, discusses the process of developing\u00a0the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/emu.edu\/solar\/\">EMU\u00a0solar project<\/a>\u00a0in 2010, Virginia\u2019s first large solar photovoltaic system.<\/p>\n<p>This departmental chapel is part of EMU\u2019s collective effort toward building faith that fosters servant-leadership, as students have the opportunity to gather during the chapel time for focused conversations about the intersections of faith and their area of study with faculty members of their department. \u00a0Ten other academic departments held chapel meetings in other spaces across campus at the same time:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.emu.edu\/applied-social-sciences\/\">Applied Social Sciences<\/a><\/strong> \u2013\u00a0<em>Faith and Career after Graduation<\/em><br \/>\n&#8211;<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.emu.edu\/bible\/\">Bible &amp; Religion<\/a><\/strong> \u2013\u00a0<em>A Life Worthy of the Calling<\/em><br \/>\n&#8211;<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.emu.edu\/biology\/\">Biology<\/a>\/<a href=\"http:\/\/www.emu.edu\/chemistry\/\">Chemistry<\/a><\/strong> \u2013\u00a0<em>Faith, Science and Ethics<\/em><br \/>\n&#8211;<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.emu.edu\/education\/\">Education<\/a><\/strong> \u2013\u00a0<em>Connecting Faith with Teaching: A Conversation with EMU Alum Kenny Boyers<\/em><br \/>\n&#8211;<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.emu.edu\/langlit\/\">Lang &amp; Lit<\/a><\/strong> \u2013\u00a0<em>Writers We Met on the Way to Work<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 Marti Eads, Eric Eberly, Carol Snell-Feikema, and Mike Medley<br \/>\n&#8211;<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.emu.edu\/math\/\">Mathematical Sciences<\/a><\/strong> \u2013\u00a0<em>An Informal Conversation on Calling<\/em><br \/>\n&#8211;<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.emu.edu\/nursing\/\">Nursing<\/a><\/strong> \u2013\u00a0<em>Ways the Sacred Covenant has Impacted\/Shaped our Careers<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 Some alumni gathered with \u00a0the nursing department to sing, refresh their souls, and learn about life after nursing school<br \/>\n&#8211;<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.emu.edu\/pe\/\">Physical Education and Recreation<\/a><\/strong> \u2013\u00a0<em>Students Share about their Spiritual Journeys at\u00a0EMU<\/em><br \/>\n&#8211;<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.emu.edu\/psychology\/\">Psychology<\/a><\/strong> \u2013\u00a0<em>Integration of Faith and Psychology<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 upper level psych majors share reflections from papers and personal stories\/ideas.<br \/>\n&#8211;<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.emu.edu\/theater\">Theater<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.emu.edu\/vaca\/\">VaCA<\/a><\/strong> \u2013\u00a0<em>Christian artist or artist who is a Christian?
