Dave begins his summer series podcast by talking about the role that parents play in the sports experience of their children.\u00a0 Reading exerpts from letter that former professional baseball player, Mike Matheny wrote to the parents of players on the Little League team that he was coaching, Dave highlights the ways in which parents can interfere with their child’s opportunity to learn life lessons on the field.\u00a0 Being “silent sources of support” should be the goal, but is often very hard for many of us as parents to achieve.\u00a0 He challenges parents to experiment this summer by remaining silent during a game or practice and only asking if their child had fun.\u00a0 This is one of several different topics Dave will be addressing this summer.<\/p>\n
