He has taught short courses in arts-based approaches to peace work in seven peacebuilding institutes in Africa, Asia, the Pacific, and North America. Some of his publications include: co-authoring\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.emu.edu\/cjp\/publications-and-ezines\/faculty-staff\/when-you-are-the-peacebuilder.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">When You Are the Peacebuilder<\/a><\/em>, published by the United States Institute of Peace, 2001; \u201cArts Approaches to Peace: Playing Our Way to Transcendence,\u201d published in Barry Hart (ed.)\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Peacebuilding-Traumatized-Societies-Barry-Hart\/dp\/0761840354\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Peacebuilding in Traumatized Societies<\/a><\/em>\u00a0(University Press of America, 2008);\u00a0<em>Mpatanishi: A Handbook for Community Based Mediators<\/em>, published in 2010 by PeaceNet; and\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/copafrica.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/In_search_of_healers.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">In Search of Healers<\/a><\/em>, published by the Coalition of Peace in Africa in 2011.<\/p>\n<p>He holds a BEd from Kenyatta University in Nairobi, Kenya, and an MA in Conflict Transformation from Eastern Mennonite University in the USA.
