Cunningham holds a Ph.D. in&nbsp;Macromolecular Science &amp; Engineering from&nbsp;Virginia Polytechnic &amp; State University and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Purdue&nbsp;University. There will be time for a Q&amp;A after the presentation. <em>4 p.m., SSC 104.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Feb. 5 <\/strong>\u2014 Movie &amp; Talkback: <em>Ricochet<\/em>. The documentary feature film is about the trial of an undocumented immigrant, Jose In\u00e9s Garcia Zarat\u00e9, for the accidental shooting of a young woman, Kate Steinle on Pier 14 in San Francisco in July of 2015. <em>6:30-8:30pm, SSC 106<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Feb. 6<\/strong> \u2014 Lecture event with noted Christian ethicist Dr. David P. Gushee. &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/emu.edu\/seminary\/training\/#:~:text=David%20P.%20Gushee%20Book%20Event%3A%20Defending%20Democracy%20against%20Its%20Christian%20Enemies%2C%20February%206%2C%202024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Defending Democracy Against its Christian Enemies<\/a>.&#8221; Surveying global politics and modern history, the author and editor will analyze how Christians have discarded their commitment to democracy and bought into authoritarianism. <em>6:30 p.m., Martin Chapel. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Feb. 14<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014 Suter Science Seminar: Eli Wenger, Ph.
