Covering subjects from faith formation to sustaining leaders, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mennomedia.org\/what-now\/\">\u201cWhat Now? Leading Churches through COVID\u201d resources<\/a> have resonated with Mennonite Church USA and Mennonite Church Canada pastors wrestling with deep and difficult issues amid the lingering pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The content covers six subjects: faith formation, worship, sustaining Leaders, community engagement, navigating polarization, and connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"highlight highlight-right\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mennomedia.org\/what-now\/\">View and download MennoMedia&#8217;s &#8220;What Now?&#8221; resources<\/a><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>With more than 2000 downloads to date, the content has clearly filled a need in the church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe were able to determine that more than two-thirds of pastors in Mennonite Church USA and Mennonite Church Canada signed up to receive these resources,\u201d said <strong>Joe Hackman<\/strong> <strong>MDiv &#8217;11<\/strong>, director of development and partner engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the contributors are several EMU faculty:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>David Brubaker<\/strong>, dean of EMU\u2019s School of Social Sciences and Professions;\u00a0<\/li><li><strong>Jayne Seminare Docherty<\/strong>, executive director of the Center for Justice and Peacebuilding;\u00a0<\/li><li><strong>Cheree Hammond<\/strong>, professor in the graduate counseling program; and\u00a0<\/li><li><strong>Sarah Ann Bixler<\/strong>, associate dean of Eastern Mennonite Seminary.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Alumni include <strong>Hendy Matahelemual MA \u201819<\/strong> (Christian leadership); <strong>Nelson Okanya \u201802<\/strong>; <strong>Jane Hoober Peifer \u201875, MDiv \u201898<\/strong>; and <strong>Martin Rhodes \u201802<\/strong>. Former faculty member <strong>Lisa Schirch<\/strong>, now with the Kroc Institute at University of Notre Dame, also contributed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MennoMedia received a Schowalter Foundation grant in May 2021 to help churches thrive after COVID-19. MennoMedia used the funds to develop the \u201cWhat Now?\u201d podcast series and downloadable resources distributed to an opt-in email list and housed on the MennoMedia website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;What Now?&#8221; resources were released in three installments in August, September, and October .
