Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) has announced that Akademos will be their new bookstore vendor to help support students both academically and financially in this rapidly changing educational environment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new online bookstore and course materials platform will be launched to support the summer 2021 term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seamless integration between EMU and the Akademos course materials platform provides a personalized, first-class customer experience, according to a press release issued by Akademos. The new online bookstore will support EMU students reduce the cost of attendance with online access to a wide selection of low-cost material options including new, used, rental, digital, course packs, and a 100+ million title Marketplace. Students have the opportunity to use multiple payment options on all textbook purchases no matter the material format while the Akademos Guaranteed Buyback program provides additional savings to lower out-of-pocket course material expenses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Providing greater access to low-cost course materials through a convenient, easy-to-use platform was a priority for EMU administration. \u201cShifting to the Akademos platform allows EMU to increase convenience and cost savings while breaking down other barriers to student success,\u201d said Tim Stutzman, vice president of finance. \u201cAfter a competitive search, Akademos was the ideal new partner to align with our vision to open new pathways of access and achievement for all students.\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The platform will additionally support EMU’s faculty with enhanced tools including comprehensive course materials adoption software that includes a step-by-step guide for selections, recommendations, and past adoption history, along with the ability to compare prices in real-time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
