EMU Jazz Group to Tour Northeast<\/b><\/font><\/h3>\n

"EMU Jazz and Swing Sisters," a big band ensemble from Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Va., will present programs in western New York and Ontario, Canada, in early January.<\/font><\/p>\n

The 24-member group, directed by Dr. Steve Sachs, professor of music at EMU, will play jazz arrangements of hymns and spirituals and big band tunes 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, at Alden Mennonite Church, 923 Two Rod Road, Alden; and 10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, at Toronto United Mennonite Church, 1774 Queen St. West, Toronto. <\/font><\/p>\n
