The Shenandoah Valley Youth Orchestra is presenting its annual “Musical Treats” concert 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, in Lehman Auditorium. <\/p>\n

The short program, designed for families with children of all ages, will feature the 35-member ensemble playing “Jupiter” from “The Planets” by Holst and “Hoe-Down” from “Rodeo” by Aaron Copland. <\/p>\n

Individual students will also give brief demonstrations of their instruments and one of the children from the audience to be guest conductor for one selection. <\/p>\n

“We think this will be a fun time for all,” said interim orchestra director Rhonda Stees. “Everyone is invited to come in costume and expect a variety of treats.” <\/p>\n
