The concert is open to the public free of charge. <\/p>\n<p> The concert is part of the symphony&#8217;s 2007-08 season called &#8220;A World Tour of Music,&#8221; with each concert featuring a different nationality or musical style. The program at EMU will feature jazz-inspired works by Shostakovich and Gershwin as well as standard jazz tunes infused with orchestra. <\/p>\n<p> Selections by Schubert and Mahler, featuring mezzo-soprano Lorraine DiSimone from previous World Tour of Music concerts, will be included in the tour performance. <\/p>\n<p> Two renown artists &#8211; Marvin Stamm, trumpet, and Bill Mays, piano &#8211; will be featured on the program along with UT jazz faculty members Keith Brown, drums, and Rusty Holloway, bass.
