Euripides’ classic Greek tragedy, "Medea," runs the emotional gamut and features one of the strongest female characters to ever walk the stage. <\/p>\n

A new translation of the play by Nicholas Rudall, will be performed 7:30 p.m. Feb. 15-17 and Feb 22-24 in the Studio Theater at Eastern Mennonite University. <\/p>\n

When Medea, who helped Jason and his Argonauts capture the Golden Fleece, is betrayed by Jason, thoughts turn toward revenge. In order to save what dignity she has left, she must destroy those that have hurt her, even if that means hurting those that she loves.
