Kittrell named ODAC Field Athlete of the Week

Junior jumper Oksana Kittrell (Bedford, Va./Liberty) has earned her first-ever ODAC Athlete of the Week award, as she won the weekly honor for field athletes.

Kittrell notched her indoor PR in the triple jump at last weekend’s UCS Invitational, hosted by D-I Wake Forest, landing at 10.76m (35ft 3.75in). That distance puts her at No. 2 in the ODAC this season.

Then in the long jump, Kittrell jumped 4.94m (16ft 2.5in), coming just short of her indoor best. She heads into this weekend’s ODAC Championships at No. 4 in the conference in the event at 4.99m (16ft 4.5in).

She will be looking for her first All-ODAC honors this weekend, after finishing fourth in the indoor triple jump and fifth in the outdoor triple jump last year. The top three finishers earn All-ODAC status.

Eastern Mennonite’s men and women head to Salem, Va., on Sunday for the ODAC Indoor Championships, hosted by Roanoke College.
