Connor Faint (Winchester, Va./Millbrook) opened the Royal's evening at Swarthmore College Invitational with a third-place finish in the 400 hurdles, finishing with a time of 54.22.

The men’s and women’s track teams traveled to Swarthmore College for their second of three final qualifying meets. Connor Faint (Winchester, Va./Millbrook) opened the Royal’s evening with a third place finish in the 400 hurdles, finishing with a time of 54.22.

Jeremy Heizer (Staunton, Va./Riverheads) continued his stellar outdoor season with a fifth place finish in the shot put. His throw of 15.81 meters was the best DIII throw of the night.

Both Tyler Denlinger (Perkasie, Pa./Christopher Dock) and Alec Thibodeaux (Mount Sidney, Va./Fort Defiance) competed in the 1500 which featured a deep field of professional athletes. Denlinger finished with a 3:55.63, his second best time of the season. Thibodeaux ran a personal best of 3:57.22. Later in the evening Thibodeaux came back to run another personal best in the 5,000 meters to finish with a time of 15:03.13.

Richard Robinson (Broadway, Va./Broadway) finished his EMU career with a time of 15.98 in the 110 hurdles.

On the women’s side, Hannah Chappell-Dick (Bluffton, Oh., Bluffton) finished as the top collegiate in the 800 meters with a time of 2:10.55. Oksana Kittrell, (Bedford, Va./Liberty) wrapped up her sophomore season with a ninth place finish in the triple jump and a season best jump of 5.06 meters, good for a sixth place finish.

The teams will finish out the post-conference season on Thursday at Salisbury University Elite Final Qualifying Meet in Salisbury, Maryland.
