Church Group to Convene at EMU

The Apostolic Christian Church, a fellowship headquartered at Richmond, Va., will hold its 58th annual Eastern Camp meeting July 16-July 22 on the campus of Eastern Mennonite University.

The church was founded in Switzerland in the mid 1700’s and has spread throughout Europe and the America’s.

“We’ve enjoyed the use of this tremendous facility over the years and look forward to more than 700 attendees of all ages and from all regions of North America and beyond to assemble again,” said Tom Hertig, an advisor for the Apostolic Christian Church, Eastern Camp.

Mr. Hertig described the denomination as “a Bible-centered fellowship which teaches that the power of Christ’s sacrifice can save souls. Our theme this year is ‘Partakers of the Divine,'” Hertig said. “The week’s activities will explore the opportunity we have through Jesus’ blood and the Holy Spirit’s guidance to experience an empowered life with an eternal focus,” he added.

Inspiration evening programs will be held at 7 p.m. nightly EMU’s Lehman Auditorium and are open to the public.
