To be friends?<br \/>\nNO!!! Instead insults flare<br \/>\nWith outstretched hands&#8230;All for one Durham&#8230;<br \/>\nFor what?! Nothing&#8230;<br \/>\nAll because America is wealthy<br \/>\nEveryone&#8230;.if they only knew<\/p>\n<p>STOP?!? ???<br \/>\nThat would be asking too much<br \/>\nLife is a rush&#8230;<br \/>\nRinging of horns<br \/>\nLets us know it times to go<br \/>\nConstantly on the move&#8230;<br \/>\nLeft, right, left right<br \/>\nWe sway thru traffic<br \/>\nSo many possible casualties<br \/>\n&#8230;Sit back and hold on<br \/>\nThe only option<br \/>\nFor life here is a rush<br \/>\nStop signs have no value<br \/>\nNothing but anger, confusion, rage<br \/>\nLingers around each corner<\/p>\n<p>I have so much to say<br \/>\nBut no one understands me<br \/>\nBody language&#8230;my only hope<br \/>\nFrequent smiles help ease da tension<br \/>\nAnd they say ignore what<br \/>\nYou don\u2019t wanna hear<br \/>\nBut how?!<br \/>\nWhen it\u2019s directed to me?<br \/>\nJust me as if I were the only woman<br \/>\nSo I wonder if hiding myself would help?<br \/>\nIs it the hair?<br \/>\nAm I too exposed?<br \/>\nI don\u2019t know&#8230;<br \/>\nSo I walk on as if my ears hear NO evil<br \/>\nSmile as if it doesn\u2019t hurt<br \/>\nLook as if I don\u2019t see the gestures<br \/>\nAct as if everything is okay<br \/>\nYet the anger, confusion, rage&#8230;<br \/>\nLingers around every corner&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>My money&#8230;..seems to be in the same boat as I<br \/>\nNo worth here&#8230;A ride&#8230; so hard to get<br \/>\nWhy? Is my Durham not worthy of pay?<br \/>\nEvery step I take closer to a taxi<br \/>\nMore and more doors lock<br \/>\nFingers sway to say NO!!!<br \/>\nBut why?!<br \/>\nI did nothing to deserve this&#8230;<br \/>\nOr did I?<br \/>\nIs my presence in their space wrong?<br \/>\nDoes my camera give the impression that<br \/>\nThey&#8217;re not human?<br \/>\nI don\u2019t know&#8230;<br \/>\nSo&#8230;what do I do?<br \/>\nWho shall I ask<br \/>\nWhen no one understands me?<br \/>\nThis is a crazy feeling&#8230;<br \/>\nBut I like the challenge<br \/>\nKinda enjoy the life I\u2019m living<br \/>\nThis experience wasn\u2019t meant<br \/>\nFor me to fit in&#8230;<br \/>\nI AM different<br \/>\nAnd I came to learn&#8230;<br \/>\nSo no matter how hard<br \/>\nEach day is&#8230;<br \/>\nAnd even though<br \/>\nAnger, confusion and rage<br \/>\nLingers around each corner&#8230;<br \/>\nI will continue this ONCE in<br \/>\nA lifetime journey till the end<br \/>\nAnd somehow enjoy<br \/>\nThe little things<br \/>\nAnd be thankful for what I do have&#8230;<br \/>\nTake the good with the bad<br \/>\nAnd take it ALL in stride!!!<\/p>\n<p>!!!LOVE LIVE LAUGH EVEN WHEN IT HURTS TO DO SO&#8230;!!<\/p>\n<p>-Ebony Dennis<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Worth&#8230; Feels like I have none here&#8230; Anger, confusion, rage Appears so rapidly In a split second My mood can change Children&#8230; they have no hearts Or so it seems What happened to the love?
