The next morning we awoke to cool air and hot sunshine. Recorded below are our first, short impressions of Guatemala and CASAS from that first morning.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Akiel: beautiful scenery<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Rebecca:\u00a0 I was like \u201cwow\u201d.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Ruth: This place is so beautiful and there\u2019s so much to take in.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Skyy: The night was scary and dark, but the morning is beautiful.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Liz:\u00a0 I just can\u2019t find the words.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Jamie: There are diverse plants here.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Olivia: I feel a closeness with the space that I can\u2019t describe<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Lori: I feel back to myself, a whimsical feeling in this open air. Also I love all the succulents.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Kellie: Guatemala is similar to Costa Rica in its life, animals, and people.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Austin: When we arrived last night I noticed how everyone here felt really relaxed, but all the buildings have barbed wire on them.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Theo: I LOVE it. This place is so obviously different and it makes me excited to be here.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Andrew: Its pretty. There\u2019s lots of Spanish and I don\u2019t understand it.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Maya: The courtyard is cared for, but also so free.
