Astral Hall was built in 1955. The terraced one-room building next to the observatory hosted astronomy lectures and Astral Society meetings. It eventually became the WEMC studios, which produced up to 70 weekly programs such as “Mennonite Hour Chorus” and “Children’s Story Time.” Today, the studio is used for audio production classes.
