Kristen joined the team of Office of Graduate and Professional Recruitment as a Recruitment Specialist in December 2022.

After graduating from James Madison University (JMU) in 2018 with a B.S. in Biology and concentration in Ecology and Environmental Biology, Kristen went on to work in a collaboratoive research partnership between JMU X-Labs and Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute. After the conclusion of the research partnership, Kristen went on to serve as the Education Coordinator for the JMU Edith J. Carrier Arboretum, where she managed nature education programs and events. Later, Kristen worked with On the Road Collaborative, a Harrisonburg non-profit focusing on youth empowerment and career enrichment.

Kristen's time in the Valley has allowed her to grow her passions within local food, cooking, and farming, as well as rock climbing, mountain biking, and snowborading.
