Why I Came To EMU

The main thing I looked for during my college search was a campus that intentionally strived to build a community. This is because I was an international student, and I was moving 8000 miles away from home and family. During my application process, I was able to build an initial relationship with my Admissions Counselor, who guided me closely throughout the entire process. I also had brief initial conversations with a couple of professors from EMU. Everyone that I connected with at EMU extended warm welcomes and great support which eventually became the main reason I chose EMU!

Why I Love EMU

I love EMU because of the great relationships that I have built with different people within the community. My professors and supervisors who have shown deep care and support for me will always remain my mentors in life. And I thank EMU for introducing me to a small group of classmates who have now become my life-long best friends.

My Favorite Memories at EMU

In my last semester at EMU, I completed my inter-cultural requirement through the Washington Community Scholars Center (WCSC) Program in D.C. I lived in a house with 10 other EMU students. During our time at WCSC, all the housemates decided to designate Tuesdays nights to watch the Bachelorette. I could easily say that watching the Bachelorette with my housemates on Tuesday nights is one of the many EMU memories that I will never forget!
