Why I came to EMU
I came to EMU because this is the one school that made me feel “at home” when I visited. People smiled at me as they passed and professors took the time to have a conversation with me. I also loved the idea of having a small class size - I would have the opportunity to get to know my professors and develop personal relationships with my peers.
My favorite things to do in Harrisonburg
Although I grew up in Harrisonburg, I am constantly discovering new things to do! I love hiking and camping in both the George Washington National Forest and Shenandoah National Park. In the fall, I take time to drive along the Skyline Drive. On the weekends, I like to try out one of downtown Harrisonburg’s many local restaurants.
My favorite memories at EMU
My favorite memory from my time as a student at EMU comes from my cross-cultural. I went on the Central and Eastern Europe cross-cultural, and we were able to spend a few days in Paris. One night, a group of us found our way down to the river and spent several hours simply watching the lights on the water. Although not much actually happened during that time, it is one of my most distinct memories from the trip.
