Featured Internships

  • The Hill – Photograph members of Congress for a newspaper distributed among members of Congress and beyond. A past intern photographed Barack Obama, John McCain, and the artist Bono during his internship at The Hill Newspaper.
  • Capital Area Food Bank – Put all your skills to use and get all the experience you are ready for by sitting in as Capital Area Food Bank’s resident photographer and/or graphic designer for a semester. With no graphic designers on staff, this organization leaves lots of room for creativity and is a great fit for a self-motivated student who is looking to help a good cause while adding to their resume.
  • Bread for the World – Learn to follow the “look and feel” of an organization by working side by side with professional graphic designers at Bread for the World. (Best as a Spring or Summer internship.)
  • Washington School of Photography – Assist professional photography teachers and students at the Washington School of Photography, which offers courses ranging from traditional film and darkroom practice to digital media, in addition to a Professional Program leading to a certificate in professional photography.
