Eastern Mennonite’s office of Multicultural and International Student Services, or MISS, supports students of another culture or country as well as Third-Culture Kids, first generation college students and more.

MISS Programs and Celebrations

Annual celebrations of culture and history include Latino Heritage Month, Dialogue on Race and Diversity Week, Martin Luther King Day of Serving and Learning, and Black History Month.

Through our office’s connection with local resources and mentoring agencies, AHANA students will be empowered to succeed academically, socially and spiritually. Check out our upcoming events.

From the moment you arrive in the United States, through the transition to life away from home, our campus community provides support as you adjust to life in another culture.

Many EMU faculty have lived and worked internationally long-term. We know what it is like to adapt to a new culture, climate and environment.

Our director of international student services provides:

  • one-on-one problem solving with students
  • explanation and processing of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) documents such as the I-20, DS-2019
  • An orientation program
  • host family program
  • social activities
  • advocacy
