EMU Explore

Interested in hiking around the area? Always wanted to try something new like rock climbing or caving? Want to explore the Shenandoah Valley but don’t know where to start? Or maybe you just like to spend time outdoors and want to have a nice study break for awhile? If so, then Explore is perfect for you! EMU Explore strives to provide fun in the outdoors with a variety of planned activities as well as resources to help people plan their own adventures!

Explore hosts at least 4-5 guided day trips each semester in many different activity areas such as canoeing, caving, rock climbing, hiking, and mountain biking. The indoor climbing wall is also available to provide fun for the colder winter months. You can sign up for one of our trips led by Outdoor Ministry and Adventure Leadership majors, or use our Adventure Library to find a place to venture out on your own with your friends!

Emails will be sent out in advance for trips. Number of slots are limited, so it’s on a first-come, first-serve basis. Meeting times and locations will be included in the emails.

The climbing wall is open every Sunday that EMU is in session from 6-9pm.
