| Description | Responsibilities:
Assist with preparations for residential and non-residential summer groups: coordinating details and logistics with group leaders prior to their arrival, preparing residence halls and apartments for guests, preparing linens, providing registration assistance, handing out keys, locking and unlocking meeting rooms and other facilities, setting up rooms for meetings, supervising the use of the game room, gym and other facilities, setting up audio projection equipment and moving furniture. Maintaining appropriate documents & other paperwork.
Qualifications:
The ability to work with people and ability to resolve problems as they come up are important qualifications for this position. Employees must be able to take responsibility for implementation without a great deal of supervision. The schedule varies over the summer and all staff must be flexible and able to work evenings and weekends when necessary. May be required to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. Physical activity will include a good deal of walking and steps. Conferences & Events staff may also be required to drive a vehicle on occasions and should have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
