Kamal Uddin Tipu

Police Planning Adviser at United Nations Office to the African Union (UNOAU) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Tipu has contributed to the mandate of UNOAU, which is to provide long term institutional and short term operational support to the African Union under African Peace and Security Architecture. Previously, he was the Deputy Inspector General for the Police Service in Islamabad; the General manager of Pakistan’s Electronic Media Regulatory Authority in for the Communications Department for the Government of the Punjab; and worked as district police officer in Constabulary Frontier based in Peshawar, Pakistan. Tipu holds a PhD in International Relations and Politics from the International Islamic University in Islamabad, an MA in Conflict Transformation from Eastern Mennonite University and studied at UET Lahore in Pakistan.
