Director, Jerusalem Stories, a Project of the Democracy Council
Since November, 2002, I, along with photographer Lloyd Wolf, have interviewed and photographed a wide range of Jerusalem residents sharing stories of life during the past years of escalated conflict.
These photographs and stories comprise Jerusalem Stories, an initiative which harnesses the power of personal stories and portrait photographs to promote empathy between people, a critical component of sustainable peace. Jerusalem Stories is a book for American, Israeli and Arab audiences, and it is the basis for educational performances, dialogue workshops, exhibits and curricula.
