Royals Place 61 Student-Athletes On All-Academic Team

The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has announced its All-Academic Team for the 2011-12 season, and Eastern Mennonite University saw an increase to 61 student-athletes earning a spot.  Last year 53 Royals were named to the team. Each of EMU’s sports was represented on the ODAC All-Academic Team except for men’s volleyball, which competes in the Continental Volleyball Conference.  ...More

EMU Wraps Up Athletic Year With Honors Banquet

Eastern Mennonite University held its Athletic Honors Banquet on April 17 in a time of reflecting upon and honoring the journeys of the Royals’ student-athletes.  Seniors Andy Richter (Perkasie, PA/Christopher Dock) and Marla Young (Fishersville, VA/Wilson Memorial) won the President’s Awards, the highest athletic award given out by EMU. ...More

Royals Notch ODAC Win Over Guilford, 60-50

The women have done it again.  As is starting to become common, the Royals ended the game on a big run, taking an impressive 60-50 win from ODAC-leader Guilford Saturday afternoon in Harrisonburg. Royals Outscore LC, 44-34, in Final 20 Minutes to Earn Win

Despite some early game rust, the Eastern Mennonite basketball women controlled the second half against Lynchburg Tuesday night, taking an 81-72 ODAC win in Harrisonburg. The win pushes Eastern Mennonite women to 8-1 overall and 5-1 in the ODAC. Women’s Basketball Defeats Bridgewater, 61-53

The depth of Eastern Mennonite can take some time to establish its edge, but that depth proved crucial Monday night in a 61-53 win at rival Bridgewater.  The Royals held BC to one field goal over the final 4:27, ending on a decisive 12-5 run. Basketball Teams Release Schedules

The Eastern Mennonite University women’s basketball team will open its 2011-12 season with a tip-off classic, welcoming three teams to Yoder Arena on Nov. 18-19.
