Women Roll Randolph-Macon On Coach’s Birthday, 93-68

The EMU basketball women gave Coach Kevin Griffin a fantastic birthday present Tuesday night – a new record.  The Royals hit 59.7% of their shots, a new program record, and never trailed in a 93-68 romp at Randolph-Macon. Defense Leads Women To Rout Of Fellow ODAC-Leading Hornets

Four teams entered the day tied atop the ODAC women’s basketball standings at 4-1, but at least one would fall on Saturday.  Eastern Mennonite made sure it would not be them, as they topped fellow ODAC-leader Lynchburg 68-53 on the road. Post-Christmas Season Starts With 93-40 Win At Cairn

The Royals had no problems getting back into form after the Christmas break, as they returned from a two-week lay-off with a 93-40 win at Cairn.  Eastern Mennonite shot a season-high 51% from the floor and never trailed the Highlanders. Royals Place 61 Student-Athletes On All-Academic Team

The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has announced its All-Academic Team for the 2011-12 season, and Eastern Mennonite University saw an increase to 61 student-athletes earning a spot.  Last year 53 Royals were named to the team.
