The Bach Festival’s sixteenth season will highlight string music with internationally acclaimed artists Eugene Friesen and Michael Partington and the festival orchestra and choir.
Experience Friesen’s unusual Cello Man show, geared for audiences of all ages. Hear several of his original compositions for orchestra and choir displaying his unique sound. Enjoy Partington’s lyrical and engaging guitar performances of concertos by Rodrigo and Castelnuovo-Tedesco.
The Ginastera harp concerto and works by Vaughan Williams add to the charm of the 2008 festival as it showcases a variety of string music, the music of Bach and other composers, and solo and chamber works. Under the direction of Kenneth J. Nafziger, this season’s festival has many exciting surprises awaiting you.
