Faces of EMU: Celebrating our Faith Diversity
Our theme for International Education Week is celebrating our faith diversity, and we hope to help people from various faith traditions learn about each others’ practices, and begin conversations related to faith that help us value each other in new ways. Individuals from all faith traditions are invited to attend and participate, as respectful learners/observers.

Friday, 9/5
1-2:00 p.m. – Muslim Prayer and beliefs. Dr. Amir Akrami will lead a discussion about Muslim faith, contrasting and comparing Shia and Sunni prayer practices and explaining each part of Muslim prayer. President’s Reception Room, UC201

Monday, 9/8
10:00 a.m. – Bahá‘í Devotional – Discipleship Center
4:30 p.m. – Faith and practice: Judaism, death rituals and what happens after we die? – President’s Reception Room, UC201

Tuesday, 9/9
11:00-11:45 a.m. Seminary Chapel: Mennonite worship service – Martin Chapel

Wednesday, 9/10
10:00 a.m. University Chapel: Church of the Holy Theotokos: an Old Rite Russian Orthodox Service and blessing for the school year – Lehman Auditorium

Thursday, 9/11
11:00-11:45 a.m. Seminary Chapel: Methodist worship service – Martin Chapel
6:30-8:00 p.m. – Interactive Faith Talkback/ Faces of EMU Exhibit – Common Grounds

Friday, 9/12
6:00 p.m. – International Food Fest and Games – Thomas Plaza (Rain location: CC Greeting Hall)
