Capstone: "We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools"

Where Dining Hall, West dining room

Duration 1 hour

In a society like Burundi where citizens have experienced violence based on armed struggles and genocides with all its consequences for almost a half century, it is important to understand how different actors have worked together to deal with the past and towards a sustainable peace. One of the key actors expected to play a great role in that context is the local civil society. CJP student Jean Claude Nkundwa spent the summer and fall exploring the approaches, capacities and resources of civil society in aiding the peace process. In his capstone, Jean Claude will present his thesis: “The role of Civil Society in Post-war Contexts: A Case Study of Burundi.”

Hot drinks and goodies from A Bowl of Good will be served.

Intended Audience General Public
