The Center for Interfaith Engagement will be hosting a a forum on Tuesday, November 21 at 4:30pm in the Strite Conference Room (Campus Center 105.) Ms. Fatima Tofighi, a Shi’ah Muslim scholar from Qom, Iran, is doing a Ph.D. degree in Literature and Theology at Glasgow University in Scotland. The title of her dissertation is “Troubling Paul: Appearances of the Apostle in Modern Europe.”
The title of her presentation on November 21st is “Outsiders and the Ethics of Biblical Interpretation.”
The East Dining Room has been reserved at 6:00pm for those persons who would like to continue the conversation with Ms. Tofighi.
Ms. Tofighi is an Islamic scholar who has studied for more than ten years in Jame’at al-Zahra, the women’s seminary in Qom. She also has an MA and BA in English Language and Literature.
Come to meet this young Iranian scholar and learn how Muslims study and understand the Bible. Fatima would be available to speak in classes as well.
