Harrisonburg CROP Hunger Walk

Where Muhlenberg Lutheran Church

Duration 2 hours

CROP Hunger Walks are community fundraising events sponsored by Church World Service (CWS), an international relief, development, and refugee resettlement agency. Money raised by CROP Hunger Walks nationwide is used by CWS to provide food, medical care, disaster relief, and self-help development for needy people around the world. Up to 25% of the money raised in our CROP Hunger Walk is distributed to local hunger-alleviating agencies in Harrisonburg.

The Harrisonburg CROP Hunger Walk will be on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Muhlenberg Lutheran Church, 281 E. Market Street, Harrisonburg. Registration begins at 1 p.m. with the walk starting at 2 p.m.

To participate in the 2013 Harrisonburg CROP Hunger Walk, go to the Weaver Wellness Suite (in University Commons off the track). There you can pick up a Donation Envelope. Ask family, friends and group members to support you with a donation.

If you are unable to walk, there are many ways you can still participate:

• Support a Walker with a generous donation
• Be a Spirit Walker – raise funds though unable to Walk
• Be a volunteer helper on Walk Day
• Recruit and promote the Walk in your church or group
• Pray for the CROP Hunger Walk and for the poor and hungry.
