Called to True Pacifism - Anna Engle

Chapel features first-year student Anna Engle offering her winning speech from the EMU C. Henry Smith Peace Oratorical contest.

Anna Engle is a first-year History & Social Science Education major with a TESL endorsement. From Streetsboro, OH, she has lived in the Harrisonburg area for 7 years. After graduating, she hopes to teach with Mennonite Central Committee in China or in Alaska.

Sex, Salvation, and Shalom - Shelly Thomas

The Sustainability Chapel Series continues with Shelly Thomas, assistant professor in the biology department, speaking on what dragonfly sex has to do with world peace. This service is part of a chapel series focused on the theme of sustainability - part of a year-long emphasis on creation care at EMU.
