Why I love EMU!

I am proud to work for a University’s whose core values align so nicely with those of my own. Having attended and then worked for larger universities, I appreciate the unique and warm environment that EMU has created for their students and faculty – this community is like no other!

Favorite thing about living in the Shenandoah Valley

As a coastal VA native, the mountain life is beautiful breath of fresh air. Sitting nicely between the George Washington National Forrest and the Blue Ridge Mountains, it’s easy to stay busy exploring the landscape. The Fall is my all-time favorite season with the intense colors of the turning leaves and the morning frost, I am happiest when I’m on the trails with my husband and our rescue pup, Delachaise.

Anything else you should know about me?

My passion lies in education, from the broad sense of simply learning something new and the way in which people learn, to the nitty-gritty of higher education administration. I’m an advocate for students and am here to help you find the right opportunity at EMU to propel your journey towards your ideal career. Lastly, I love writing goals and helping others create a vision for their life (ask me about my Living List)!
